Detailed Description
|
Some years ago I discovered an stunning supply of abalone* donuts in all shapes and sizes and bought them all. Since then true abalone has become increasingly rare. This double donut pendant separated by a pale jade bead knotted on a magenta silk rope is as irridescent as butterfly wings and enormously versatile as a layering piece to be paired with ropes and shorter pieces. 28" (can be shortened by knotting). No two alike but all stunning.
*The first known use of abalone was in images of Buddha around 300 A.D. Over the years, true abalone (found in a one-shell mollusk) has become increasingly rare and prized for
its unique shapes and amazing tones. The primary sources for abalone are the Pacific, Korea, Japan and Australia.
