I've been in love with this painting for a long time and just received this miniature as a Valentine's Day gift from my husband. The luxurious layering of gold foil throughout the painting is highlighted by the gold foil on the Venetian beads in the necklace. The large hand-knotted pearls are separated by the bold red Venetian beads which complement the red sleeves in her gown. Can't wait to wear it!
