The black onyx pendant (1-3/4" x 3/4") has been painstakingly covered with many layers of oil paint, egg tempura, gold foil, and lacquer to create the dramatic effect. The pendant, crowned with a 14K gold rondel and 24K Swarovski crystal, hangs from a gold wire wrapped chain of white freshwater pearls and jet discs. 28"

Unusual and very Special

This miniature portrait is so dramatic and stunning. The facial features are very realistic-especially the eyes and lips. I am further moved when I compare it to the original painting.
The choice of black jet beads alternating with small freshwater pearls is very decorative but in keeping with the masculine subject.
This pendant is so incredibly painted. I adore it!
