Netsuke Collage SOLD

Each element in this unusual necklace is unique and collected over many years. The highlight is a signed painted female figurine. It is at least 100 years old.  To be frank I don't know if it's a large netsuke or a Chinese objet since my Japanese and Chinese friends can't read the faint signature. Anyhow this fascinating collage features carved jade, rare cinnabar elements, carved antique ivory, painted beads and vintage Bali silver beads.  To top it off the clasp purchased many years ago is a cinnabar fish set in sterling silver with a safety catch.  You'll never see anything like this again.  length: 26"
